Bit Sanders has spent nearly two decades working where the industry actually takes shape —behind the chair, backstage, and in education. She is widely recognized for her refined approach to razor cutting, classic minimalist aesthetic, and for teaching technique in a way that feels approachable and real.
She began her career with Bumble and bumble in California before relocating to New York City to join the brand’s global education team. Over the years, Bit has traveled extensively throughout North America teaching advanced cutting and styling education while contributing to curriculum development and mentoring brand ambassadors.
Her experience also includes vast backstage work at New York Fashion Week, styling at more than 50 shows alongside industry leaders such as Laurent Philippon, Jimmy Paul, Rolando Beauchamp, and Holli Smith. You have enjoyed her in global campaign imagery for multiple brands at Sephora,
Ulta, and Salon Centric.
As an educator, Bit is especially known for her work in razor cutting, hands and decision-making behind the chair. Her teaching style favors clarity over rigidity, helping stylists understand not just how to cut hair, but why certain choices matter. She has written and delivered customized curriculum, led large-scale education events, collaborated on
brand campaigns, and spoken publicly on the state of the industry, including panels with
Women’s Wear Daily.
“Good technique should give you freedom, not more rules.”
Now, Bit is the co-owner of Disco Salon in Atlanta and a proud member of the House of Bumble Collective. This next chapter focuses on shaping the future of the hair industry rooted in expertise, humanity, and humor.
